Erin Erwin's 15year life game plan

 Recently, I have felt that I have been slacking off on my 5 year plan. It has been heavy on my mind and I tried to think of anyway I can push myself to get back into it. So, I came up with a 15 year life game plan. I have sucessfuly mapped out the next 15 years of my life; Starting with 2012. To keep myself on that track, I have even written it out on poster board.

The sticky notes around it are to-do lists, success quotes, and a calender. You can't see it but I have written ( in pencil because i might need to change or add things) in every year from now, until 2026 ( three years into working for google) I have the rest of this year, all of high school, and collage until I get my doctorate at 26 ( maybe earlier, Im looking to graduate highschool a year earlier anyways) I have written in all of the classes I need to take, including 3 different languages(4 years for each). This may seem a little crazy, but I think it was a good idea to go ahead and map out an outline of my life for the next 15 years.
     I placed this map ( as you can see) on my wall. I hung it over the head of my bed so I see it every time I enter the room, or sit on my bed. I did this because I think that if i look at it enough it will help give me the drive I need to buckle down and get things done. I am very proud of my map.
      There are so many things in each slot, for each year, I almost ran out of room. My map gets more shallow and obvious when it reaches about 2017 because once I am into Harvard, I'm not sure what exactly I will need in order to get a job at google. I am doing my research now though.
    I know that it will be a lot of hard work and unpleasant work too, but I am willing to do that in order to be successful in my life. I don't want to end up like many people who don't get a proper education to get a proper job.
      Lastly, I apologize for not updating my blog as much, but one of my things I need to get are writing scholarships and awards. So I figure blogging can help my skills. I dont really care if my usual 2 people read this anymore ( I dont expect you to anymore anyways) but I'm still going to update it for the sake of improving my writing skills.

I cant think of a title

I dont know why, but I have an urg to watch     ^ that!  Like really badly too! I have searched online for hourss and I cant find a free version anywhere! Okay, so the first part of that was I lie. Sooo, yeah. That was my random statement of the day. Uhmm. Christmas! Christmas is coming soon! We're having another poor people christmas this year but I dont really care. I made everybody's  presents this year so I just cant wait until I see them open their stuff from me. Kristin gave me two letters. One to open two days before christmas and one to open on christmas. So today I get to open my first letter! Im excited! Im just trying to think og the perfect time to open it.

 I thinking about posting my blog link to my facebook wall. Im not sure though. I like to think that there are only like 3 or 4 people who actually read this thing. I mean... I dont get too personal on here but idk. I might  do it. Then again, im not in a good desicion making time right now. I mean seriously! Its 5:00 am and I havent slept a wink. 

Oh! Mac is back! flew in last night around 8. So thats good stuff. Im happy he is here for the holidays! I really dont have much to say about that. Uhmm. Okay. Im going to stop blogging now!

Because I felt like it

So I haven't blogged in a while and I know I should more. Since this is winter break and its insanely long  (2 weeks long) i figured I would get back into my normal blogging mojo. I dont have a real topic for this at all. Im only typing this because I felt like it ( and I felt a little bad that I hadnt been updating much) so Im doing this now!

     I figure I will just type until something of importance comes out. I hate long breaks from school. I know thats such a dorky thing to say, but its true. I dont miss the work though. Well, i kind of do. Its more about the friends and having something to do all day instead of rotting in my house. Sometimes I even get like this over the weekends.  I will get bored and miss school. Im only 4 days into this ( including the weekend) and im already going insane. 

    Ive tried everything too! After a while, the internet just gets boring and all of my friends are gone for the holidays. Ive watched all the tv I can watch and texted all I can text and internetted all I can internet! Im BORED! Ive even read a few books! Well, Mac is coming into town tomorrow so I guess my boredom will be cured for a few days.

      It has crossed my mind that this blog is more of short entries of things that have happened in my life. I think I would like for it to be more of a blog about my feelings and stuff. ( regaurdless of the fact I believe feelings are not real and are irrational) Like an insight into the world of Erin. Or maybe i will just make this a blog of my stupid rants I have ( i.e- why i hate women, why i dont want children, why we should stop exploring the universe, etc.) or maybe I will just do all three! Or maybe I will just do whatever I feel like (like this post!) and not care about entertaining people and just... blog. I dont know. I figure this is a lot of reading to do ( and if your actually reading this all the way through) then your probably getting a bit tired, so here is a picture break for you:

Thats funny and cute at the same time....weird. Its 12:12 am. This is my favorite time of the day because i always like to think of it as what I like to be. Multiple things all at the same time! It can be 12 repeated or it can be 1,2 repeated or it can be 21 backwards twice or it can be 21:21 backwards! It can be sooo many things all at once! Its cool! Well, speaking of the time.. i better head off to bed since its late and I have to video chat with my daddy at 12. soo.. .BYE NIGHTY!

Yesterday, something that made me extremely angry happened. I bet you cant guess it, not at all? Well, I will tell you. Someone on my lovely bus (bus 111)  decided that they were to steal my brand new ipod touch ( with inscription on the back) 

This all happened fairly quickly. I was sitting in my seat minding my own business when my friend Kristin decided to get into a fake slap fight with me. When this happened My ipod touch fell out of my ear buds. I didnt realize it until the end of our fake fight. I looked all around on the floor, asked all of the people in the seats around mine to look and if they had seen it. I also checked all of my belongings and all over my seat. It was gone. When I proceeded to get off of the bus, I kindly asked my bus driver to let me know if anyone gave her, or if she found my beloveded Ipod touch. No luck. 

I guess this was parcially my own fault for being slightly careless with it ( let me remind you it was sitting on my lap as I listened to it) The one thing that angers me the most, is the thought that some little jerk that rides my ghetto bus is enjoying MY ipod that I got for MY 14th birthday that MY daddy gave me. So to whomever has it I just wanna say " Eff you!" 

There is a slight glimmer of hope that maybe some one will turn it in, but I doubt it.

Court Cases?

   For my AP language arts class, my teacher ( Mrs.Marr) decided to turn us all into lawyers. We were all put into "legal teams" complete with a leader and the ability to fire anyone on your team ( if you are a leader) 

Dartmouth v.s Woodward Case

The Case that my team and I were assigned was the Dartmouth and Woodward case. A Dartmouth is going to sue Woodward for turning their insitution into a public school. ( thats just a jist of it, there is A LOT more detail to it) Since my team is only made up of 3 people ( Claudia, Lauren, and I) there has to be two people against one. I took the liberty to volenteer for the defense position. My team decided already that the defense is going to loose because they have nothing for them. That is was I took this side though, I enjoy a challenge and I personally find myself good at turning "nothing" into something. I did extensive research on my case today and I have found two points in my case, that with the right wording and logic put behind it, That I will win in our simulated court session.

I also find this all a good opportunity to have an excuse to use one of my favorite catch phrases. " You just got lawyered!" It's most commonly used in a situation where you use logic to win an argument. Since we will be "lawyers" with our cases, I can officially say my favorite catch phrase without being completely out of place. 

P.s- I challenge you to use my catch phrase sometime before December 1st ( my b-day =] ) and make a mini-post about it!                Love, Erin =] <3

Inspiration?

Today I stayed home from school, do to sickness. So I decided that I might as well put up a blog post. But what of? I  Must have sat here for at least an hour trying to think of a good post for you all to read. In this hour, I went as far as to google fun things to blog about. So here are My results. 

1. Poetry- I completely disagree. That is probably because I hate poetry though.

2. Self awareness- Ehhhh.. I guess. I am more for INTERESTING things though..

3. Emotional Spectrum- No. 

4. Life expriences- Yeah. This is a good one. 

5. Family Issues- No. keep it to yourself. No one wants to hear about your issues

6. Love- Its depends. Writing about love can be chancy. I dont want to hear all about how you are in love with someone and how perfect they are etc. But in a different aspect, it COULD be okay. 

7. Music tastes-  This is a good one too. Just alter it to fit your audience. 

8. Lists- I like this one, it's fun and easy ;)

9. Anything and Everything- To some extent, yes.

 So overall, I think what you blog about should be carefully concidered. Just rember, if all else fails, write about how you have nothing to blog about =] 

I've lost faith in all mankind

So I have recently decided that I hate all men, as well as women. For the longest time I have hated the general woman, but now it is men too.  I have many reasons for hating both but I'm not going to list them because that would be a very LONG blog post.
 After I decided that I hated all mankind, it got me to thinking. If I hate men and women, who am I going to marry? If I only hated one sex, I would just switch to the other. In my position though, I hate both parties. I decided to discuss this with my friends and we came up with this idea :

Meet Jumanjii! My new life partner! He (or she, im not sure... it is a fish) is a plastic fish in a bar of soap. It is cutely crafted to look like a fish you just bought at the store. I got this in a package sent from my brother. We have decided that since I hate all animals, humans, and everything else, I will marry a plastic fish! I couldnt be happier! How to make a good Blog post.

This is centered mostly towards my Daddy, who is confused with the feed back he is getting on his blog. I figure this might help him, and anybody else, who is having problems with their blog.

Step one: Interesting posts. This one is an obvious one. I mean seriously, who wants to read a boring blog? I sure dont. Pick an interesting topic, that most people will find worth-while to read.  For instance, Something funny or something that is informative, but still fun to read.

Step two: Short posts:  Nobody wants to read a blog that is very long. When you take a glance at it, you assume it is boring and you dont want to spend the time on reading it. Short & sweet is good to go by. Try to keep it within an paragraph or two. If it must be long, follow step three.

Step three:  Pictures:  Pictures are WONDERFUL and possibly nessecary to a good blog. People need visuals to become intrigued. If you see a picture that catches your eye, your more likely to want to read the passage. This method is also good for if you have a lot to write. Try writing a paragraph or two then posting a picture. It doesnt always have to be a self-taken picture. It can easily be a picture extracted from the internet. But make sure that  it has something to do with what you wrote.

Step four: Be funny!:  Everybody LOVES to laugh.  Its just obvious! For example the caption on my last picture probably made you giggle or smirk. If your blog isnt funny at all , it will be harder to catch people's attention. So try to work a giggle or two into it! Wording can help too. See step five to see how. A witty summary at the end is always helpful!

Step five: Wording: If you use big words that nobody knows it is going to be like a speed bump in the road. It gradually slows you down until you are uninterested. Try to write with a matter-of-factly or smart alike tone. This catches people's attention. Also, try to make words BIGGER or underline, italicize, or bold it.  When people are reading, they will see this out of the corner of their eye, and want to read more to find out why it is like that. Type like your talking to someone in person!

Step six: Personalize:  Make your posts interactive! Put up a poll, or a video. Challenge your readers, suggest a book. SOMETHING! People love things that seem to be made just for them! Add a little insight or something! Try to use the word "you".  ALWAYS thank the people for reading. It makes them feel special. =

Thats about it! I may not be a professional in this topic at all, but I DO  have enough common sense to know what will make a good blog and what wouldnt. My Iphone will not be getting better.

Its officially over. 

Today, I journeyed to the Crabtree Valley Mall to get my beloved Iphone fixed. The lady kindly did everything she could, but nothing worked. Apparently, my warranty ran out so they couldnt replace my Iphone. My only options were to spend $69 on extending my warranty or $99 to buy an Iphone 4. Both of which we did not have the money for. So I couldnt get my phone fixed or replaced. The 2 1/2 hour drive home, I cried. The only thing I dont understand is that it was THEIR software that broke MY phone, but they refuse to replace it for free. I always thought of apple being my friend, that always had my back. Apparently this "friend" has gone and stabbed me in the back. I guess this the end of my apple crusade. I am officially done with apple, but I will always love it.

My Iphone is Dead! 

What happened you might ask, Well Ill tell you what happened! Cody happened!! About two weeks ago, my friend cody texted me exactly this:

Cody: OMG! you need to go to itunes and download the new IOS 5 update!

Me: ehh coooody! I was sleeping! and uhm why? I like my phone the way it is.

Cody: I just downloaded it! Its AMAZING!

Me: grahhh okay. 

Then I proceeded to get on itunes to download the update.After I downloaded it my phone decided to not accept my sims card anymore. So, I googled this and It turns out with some phones the update breaks the something-or-another and you have to take it to the apple store for a replacement. The only problem is the closest apple store to here is an hour and a half away! Oh well.. I know What im doing this weekend

By the way , I call my iphone my no-no square so when people grab it (because people think since i have an iphone their obligated to grab it a play on it ) I can scream " NO THATS MY NO NO SQUARE!!" and they instantly learn their lesson

     Sorry I didnt post my story yet!! I havnt really had the time to do so! I promise I will get it up ASAP. I am also sorry for not blogging as much lately. I have had a lot of work to do and not enough time! I will try and blog sometime tomorrow! Love ya'll =]

Lights, Camera, ACTION!

Today, I went to my friend Alec's house to help him film his movie ( for a project for Language Arts)  It was Alec, Cody, Allen, Matthew and I. It was loads of fun, but not a lot of filming got done. We enjoyed rolling (and pushing) eachother down hills, having slow-motion dinosaur fights, playing hide and seek, and much more.

Anderson Creek Club

Alec lives in Anderson Creek Club ( a nice gated community) So even the grass in the woods (where we were filming) was perfectly cut. Because of Our lack of filming today, we will have to go back tomorrow to finish. I will try to get the finished product of the movie on here.  Love and miss ya'll- Erin

New Blog Design

As you have noticed, I decided it was about time to change the view of my blog. It all happened when I read through my comments and noticed that my blog looked awful immature and conceited ( mind you, I made it when I was 12) So I decided to make it more mature looking, but still with a hint of "Erin-ness" Also, I added some more fish. There are 10 in total.

My Favorite Off Brand foods

I have noticed that lately people have been buying more off brand food, due to the economy. I have also noticed the interesting names of these foods, so i decided to make you a list of them all .

Honeynut tasteeos

Honeynut tasteeos is the best ceral ever. It is better than Honeynut Cheerios. It has a funny name too! Which I totally love.

flavor aid

Flavor Aid is an knock off brand of kool-aid. Like most off brand food products, it is just as good as the brand name. The only difference, is that it has an awesome straw-man and a funnier name than kool aid.

Hichew

Hi me, hi you, hi chew! I am not actually sure if Hichew is an off brand product or not. It is definately cool one. It is similar to starburst, but better. Ive only had it once but would kill to be able to have it again =] 

Whonu

Whonu cookies are really cool cookies. They have great nutrients and still taste like chips ohoy'! I assume they are more healthy than normal cookies but.. how healthy can a cookie get? lol =]

And last but not least, toastem' popups. They are the off brand poptarts. They are good too. I think that they are even better than the name brand. They tend to have more filling too!

The Ickbleh

I have recently come down with a terrible case of the ickbleh. What is the ickbleh you might ask? I'll tell you what! The ickbleh is a word my friend Cody and I made up to describe sickness, without knowing what its was. Last Tuesday, I went to the doctor for being sick for about a week. After a swift check up, she said it was probably Mono, but the would have to do some blood work. So, they stole my blood, and I was on my way.

Today, my doctor called with the blood results. Negative. (dun dunn dunnn!) So, what do I have? Nobody knows! I have another appointment scheduled for Friday morning. Symptoms? Severe Fatigue, soar throat, shortness of breath, Overly thirsty, frequent urination , and random all over soreness.

Spa Day With My Mother

 Yesterday, I was feeling better from my icky-sickness, and Mom and I decided to have a spa-day sort of thing. After we got back from McDonalds (which i had been craving for days and had to beg to go =] ) and Dollar Tree ( I got heart stickers) We grabbed my laptop(thankyou daddy!), nail stuff, and the t.v remote and went into her room. First, we looked up easy to make all-natural face masks. We didnt have much supplies, so we settled for the corn meal face mask, which consisted of cornmeal and water.

It looked NOTHING like that!

It looked more like putting pancake mix on your face. While we waited 15 minutes ( as the website said) we took off the long since chipped and worn away nail polish. When it was time to take it off, my mothers face came out surprisingly soft and smooth. When I took mine off my face was red, and irritated. After about 10 minutes though, my face came out as nice as hers.

And then we laid in her bed and watched scary Steven King movies until we were both super sleepy. That's the end of our spa-day!

Engulfing myself in the wonderful world of Algebra One

You would never guess, based on my creative personality, that I am Absolutely in love with Algebra 1! I tend to find comfort in the world of numbers. A magical world where everything is fair and  has an answer. I love algebra for many reasons, but the main reason is that it is the one type math that I am actually good at! My whole life I have been terrible at math but, here comes wonderful algebra! I love that it looks difficult, but it is actually very simple. I just finished doing my homework, and two extra pages just for the fun of it!!

All day, I find myself either sitting in class anxious to go algebra, or sitting in another class wishing i was in algebra. I could do it all day with a smile on my face! I almost love it as much a I love singing Which is A LOT!

My teacher (Mrs.Stevsons) is the best also. I stay for tutoring just for an excuse to do more algebra! pretty crazy huh? Well, I have to go =] Love ya'll =]

Long Time No See?

Well, Im back!

 

I'm super sorry that I havent been able to blog! Everything is okay now though! I have internet and a nice laptop thanks to my awesome diddy! So what have you missed? Nothing specail! Haha. My schedual is super busy lately. Here it is:
